SJTU-BioX-Shanghai # The MONCKIE King # For iGEM 2023, SJTU-BioX-Shanghai targeted residual heavy metal pollution in waters with the Metal-iON-Cleaning and KnItting E. coli (MONCKIE). Inspired by the Monkey King and his hair-made clones, we utilized the engineered outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) instead of E. coli to remove heavy metal ions from water.
