McMasterU # HelmiGuard: Using Phage-Based Technology to Fight Neglected Diseases # Everyone deserves to be healthy, but not everyone has that privilege. Billions of people from poverty-stricken regions suffer from Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), caused by pathogens found in their communities. At HelmiGuard, we have created an oral vaccine to help forge a path to hope for two of the deadliest NTDs: echinococcosis & cysticercosis.
