GEC-CHINA # Directed evolution to elevate bio-production of NAD+ for anti-ageing # As the aging population continues to grow, the treatment of aging and age-related diseases has become an important societal issue. NAD+ is a critical molecule in cellular metabolism and life span, but its levels decline with age. NAMPT is the key enzyme for NAD+ synthesis, however, the catalytic activity of human NAMPT is extremely low.
