ShanghaiTech-China # LAMPS (Luminous Algae Material Presenting System) # Imagine a living light bulb that can glow in the dark and use sunlight as its energy source. That’s what ShanghaiTech-China iGEM team have created this year. We transferred the luxCDABEFG gene into Synechococcus elongatus, a cyanobacterium that performs photosynthesis.
