Microplastic ingestion and pollution from bottled water is an increasingly severe issue for humans. BAID - China has developed a tool that can evaluate total daily microplastics ingestion amount and the world’s first renewable microplastic filtration device for bottled drinking water, called “Plasticlear”, which consists of a bio-based filtration membrane using synthetic biology methods and a cellulose composite supporting structure whose shape like a bottle cap. All the materials used were totally healthy and eco-friendly.

ボトルウォーターによるマイクロプラスチックの摂取と汚染は、人類にとってますます深刻な問題となっています。BAID - Chinaは、1日の全マイクロプラスチック摂取量を評価するツールと、世界初のボトルドリンク用の可再生マイクロプラスチックフィルタリングデバイス「Plasticlear」を開発しました。これは、合成生物学的手法を使用した生物ベースの濾過膜と、ボトルキャップのような形状のセルロース複合材料の支持構造から構成されています。使用されたすべての材料は、完全に健康に配慮しつつ、環境にも優しかったです。
